This is a unique opportunity to join P&G to lead the category management of one of our top customers in several key brand and product categories, bringing new ideas and fresh thinking to lead ground-breaking category interventions. Prevent the above from happening! This role is based out of our Harrogate office (voted third happiest place to live in 2019 - it has got even better since we promise!)

Our categories are fast paced, demanding, and ever changing. Our customers play an important role in our success, as Senior Category Manager, it is your job to review data, trends, and insights to create a story that will allow us to bring the customer and consumer new ideas and solutions to grow the category.


  • Full ownership of business from Day One: You will join the Harrogate Category team working across the full P&G Health and Beauty portfolio of brands like Pampers, Gillette, Oral B and Always with some of our top customers. You will be responsible for building and nurturing strategic retailer partnerships and presenting them in a way to excite customers and grow the category.

  • Ownership and deep understanding of business analytics of KPIs, shopper and category trends to identify business opportunities. Hands on approach on data and analysis to enable strategic decisions & create plans for growth.

  • Lead category management across P&G categories; leveraging in depth understanding of shopper and categories to recommend consumer led, tangible ideas to grow the categories

  • Create and deliver thought leadership with retailers: Inspiring with best-in-class insights, creative ideas, you will proactively create partnerships to encourage your customers to lead the market in their categories

  • Courageous Leader with a willingness to learn. We are looking for a business-minded doer with knowledge of the UK FMCG landscape who puts the consumer experience at the heart of activities and decisions.

  • UK Category experience either working within sales or category management, understanding of the market landscape

  • Innovative and entrepreneurial focus. Focused and decisive with the ability to take risks where needed. The candidate must feel comfortable in making creative connections, experimenting continuously and pushing boundaries to drive change.

  • Excellent interpersonal & collaboration skills. The individual needs to have the ability to navigate a Matrix organisation, influence multiple stakeholders and build strong relationships internally/externally to drive action.

  • Strong Analytical Capabilities. Ability to analyse data and uncover insights to enable the right business decisions.

  • Valid Drivers License.
