In A.C. Grayling’s view, the three biggest challenges facing the world today are climate change, technology and justice. Can human beings agree on a set of values that will allow us to confront the threats facing the planet, or will we simply continue to disagree as we approach greater problems and instability, and even our possible extinction?
As every day brings new stories about extreme weather events, lethal autonomous weapons systems, and international human rights imbalances, Grayling argues that we urgently need to find a positive answer to the question Is Global Agreement on Global Challenges Possible?
A.C. Grayling is the Founder and Principal of New College of the Humanities at Northeastern University, and its Professor of Philosophy, as well as a Supernumerary Fellow of St Anne’s College, Oxford. He is the author of over thirty books of philosophy, biography, history of ideas, and essays.
