What more could you ask for, than the opportunity to attend a Little Bird Artisan Market at a location near you? Well, this Sunday they have three markets around the Yorkshire area, from Richmond in the north to Thirsk and Wetherby in the south.
Following on from their 5-day Winter Artisan Market at Harewood House, which was a massive success and attracted crowds daily. Traders were delighted to meet so many eager shoppers keen to find out about their businesses and support the amazing talents that Yorkshire has on its doorstep. The weather held up for everyone to wrap up and enjoy a wander around the market and all the other attractions that Harewood had to offer.
As it’s only 6 weeks or 5 market weekends until the festive season, this Sunday is a great opportunity to start your shopping and tick some of your gifts off the list. Also, to stock up on local produce, whether you enjoy some cheese and preserves on Boxing Day, are looking for locally distilled alcohol to serve after dinner or would like to buy personalised chocolate for those special people in your life. Along with all the other wonderful traders fully stocked with decorations for your house or garden, cards, gifts, body and skincare, home fragrance and décor, art and photography, crafts, clothes, accessories or treats for your beloved pets, the market will have it all.
As we are approaching the busiest time of year for many shops and businesses, please remember that all traders at the market are small local businesses who love to make, design, build, create and bake their own products. All whilst managing the other aspects of the business as well from admin, accounts, marketing to setting up their stall early each week. In supporting one of these small businesses this year you are helping to keep that dream and passion they have alive. After all, what if this year Christmas doesn’t come from a big store, what if it comes from a Little Bird Market?
