Tickets still available for York Fashion Week

On Thursday (10 October) until Monday (14th), York Fashion Week will take over the city to celebrate York as the place to be in the North for fashion, retail and creativity.

Marking its second event of the year, YFW will see designers, models, stylists and photographers unite to stage an incredible collection of runways and fashion installations designed to showcase the amazing talent here in Yorkshire and beyond. The five-day event will feature designs by students, graduates and independents; ethical vintage collections; an array of gorgeous jewellery; pop-up shops for designer pieces; while YFW models will bring shop windows to life.


For the first time this season, there will be a dedicated menswear edit at the Hooting Owl Distillery on Sunday 13th which will unveil the latest in masculine fashion from Master Debonair and Mallin & Son.


YFW Ambassador, Tendai Murairwa, from Teestyletribe who recently appeared on ITV’s hit show – M&S: Dress the Nation, will be the key presenter of The Student & Graduate Runway at York Art Gallery on 12th October. Tendai will introduce a series of creative collections from aspiring designers who are championing innovative design and groundbreaking fashion. As well as showing off some of her own pieces at an in-store event at Palenque Jewellery on Friday 11th October, where guests can explore Palenque's Autumnal collections, including the Allegra California Dreams.

The Designer Exchange at Impossible York on 10th October will be the go-to destination for preloved fashion with incredible pieces from over 100 designer brands including Chanel, Gucci, Mulberry and Louis Vuitton. There will also be an opportunity to shop the Designer Exchange pop-up store, in The Impossible York’s Tearoom.


Rae & Rae Opticians will host an exclusive Sustainable Eyewear Show On Friday 11th October, showing a collection of eco-conscious brands with an exclusive 'design your own frame' experience. The team will also unveil the fabulous collaboration with York artist, Lincoln Lightfoot, featuring limited edition frames.

It’s important to us that YFW keeps developing and reaches new audiences, and this feels like a fantastic step forward for us.”

York Fashion Week launched in 2018, and even with a two-year break due to Covid. It has been the first to host runway shows in iconic venues such as York Art Gallery and The Guildhall. YFW has worked with brands such as Rolls-Royce Motorcars Leeds, Louis Vuitton Leeds and Gary James McQueen, and has welcomed guests from as far as China to the events. Since its growth, the event is proudly sponsored by NIMA, York Bid, MARK and Nutrein. With Associate Sponsors including Rae & Rae Opticians, Cresci Pizzeria, House of Dandelions and Party Octopus.
