The Art of Decluttering: New Year’s Edition is an in-person event for anyone who feels overwhelmed by their homes and wants to reclaim space, reduces stress, and improve their overall well-being. It’s also for people looking for inspiration and a gentle nudge to kickstart lasting change in their home.

75% of British adults confess to having excess belongings in their homes, while 56% of the population have unusable rooms due to clutter. A chaotic home causes the brain to go into overdrive, raising the stress response. This can leave people feeling overwhelmed, distracted, and mentally exhausted. Simplifying your home reduces stress, improves focus, and transforms everyday spaces into functional, relaxing places you want to live in.

After time off and family gatherings at Christmas, many people realise what isn’t working in their home, especially the clutter and the lack of space. January is the perfect time to start gentle decluttering, creating calm, clarity, and space to breathe. Small actions can build momentum and confidence to make bigger changes in the year ahead.

“Many people want to declutter,” explains Cher, “but they don’t know how to start. Others get overwhelmed and distracted mid-project. Learning a few simple decluttering techniques and how to navigate common roadblocks can make all the difference.”

The Art of Decluttering workshop takes place in-person at SoJo Bistro from 7pm–9pm on Monday 19th January. Tickets are £25, and they include a complimentary hot drink.

Cher will help people:

  • Understand the invisible impact of clutter

  • Declutter practically and mindfully so they can create a home that supports their well-being

  • Navigate common decluttering roadblocks

  • Create personalised steps to achieve their home goals

  • Walk away with real-life organising solutions to implement immediately

  • Save time and money, reduce waste, and improve overall well-being
